Project description

TNI has diversified into the automotive bodybuilding and conversion industry.  In Sept 2014 TNI  obtained MIB Certification from the Department of Transport which certifies TNI to convert minibuses, panel vans into commuter/ taxi/ Special Forces vehicles, and issue them with a NATIS number. This certification enables TNI to engage directly with OEM’s such as Citroen/Peugeot, VW, Toyota, Mercedes Benz and Iveco.

TNI Import /export supports the MADE IN SOUTH AFRICA encouragement.To act as an OEM in South Africa, and to obtain economies of scale benefits via exports.

The automotive sector, regarded as the leading manufacturing sector and contributing to the South African GDP.The positive developments and achievements in the South African automotive industry, since 1995, have been driven by a supportive automotive policy regime. The 2020 vision under the new Automotive Production Development Programme (APDP), shared by government and industry, is to double vehicle production from the 2006 levels of about 600 000 units to 1,2 million units by 2020, with a much stronger development of the automotive component sector.
